This song is all about the story of Taylor's and her band,which she tells it differently with fairytale style. "all the kingdom light shined" means the stage lights. "confetti falls to the ground" is like the end of a concert. "you held your head like a hero,on a history book page" means the expression of her band who won awards and they all will be written on history of music awards, just like "we will be remembered". In an interview she said it was about her and her band after winning artist of the year. Many people didnt agree with her winning which she makes clear by saying "the cynics were outraged screaming this is absurd." also the part where she says they read off our names was when they read her name off when she won the award. Also she won the award in 2010 "it was an end of a decade.."
